"Marshmallow Dreams" Café is a pop‑up maid café based in Scotland, UK. Originally founded in 2018, we aim to bring soft, sparkly, heart‑warming "MOE" to conventions and events, across Scotland and beyond. Our colourful cast of maids and butlers work hard to create a welcoming space where guests can step away from the bustle of a convention and be transported to a fantasy world.
What is a maid café?
Originally emerging in Japan in the early 2000's, a maid café blends the comfort of a coffee shop with playful, interactive elements drawn from anime, gaming, and pop culture.We don't operate like a typical café - instead, more like a 'theme park' experience, centered around our beloved cast of maids & butlers, whose larger than life personalities will bring the magic to your every visit.~

Originally founded in 2018, we aim to bring soft, sparkly, heart‑warming "MOE" to conventions and events, across Scotland and beyond.Our colourful cast of maids and butlers work hard to create a welcoming space where guests can step away from the bustle of a convention and be transported to a fantasy world.Our team of maids and butlers are performers, creatives, and kawaii/cosplay enthusiasts from across Scotland who love working to make their passions real!Whether we’re greeting you with a cheerful “Okaeri!”, performing on stage, or adding a tiny magic spell to your drink, our goal is always the same: to make your day a little sweeter.~
What is a maid cafe?

What is moe?
Moe (萌え, pronounced mo-ay) is a Japanese term for 'cute', often used to describe the feeling of strong affection & excitement towards characters - this ' pure love' feeling comes from sharing passion over cute things & hobbies, that may not always be present in the routine of everyday life. We invite you to come share some 'moe' energy with us~!
What can you expect at Marshmallow Dreams pop-up cafes?
Every café is designed to feel welcoming and fun. Depending on the event, you may enjoy:● Cute table‑side interactions with our maids and butlers
● Performances from our team
● Themed decorations
● Sugary delights, blessed with 'moe- magic' table spells to make them extra tasty
● Fun little games with our team & your table - and treats/trinkets to win!
● A decorated, personalised cheki (printed Polaroid photo) with maid or butler of your choosing
● A lively, cosy space to take a break in our colorful company.
● As an optional add-on, an opportunity to try your luck at our claw crane machine for our very own Marshmallow Dreams Maid Café pin (every go is a win!).*Each event is a little different, but the heart of the experience is always the same - for you to carry more whimsy and delight!* Normally purchasable separately on the day.
